Want to volunteer in some of our environment projects? We have some regular opportunities for community members to come together and love where they live! We also co-ordinate environmental excursions & incursions for schools, kinders, and early learning centres.

Want us to help you do similar things in another location? Get in touch!

  • This is a workshop in partnership with Lifestyle Woodlea.

    Come and learn about how gardens in small spaces do not have to uninteresting space. See some ideas for growing food in small spaces, and learn how to built habitat in your small garden by building a mini pond.

  • Come and join us on a leisurely walk around the Deanside Wetlands. This area is home to many native birds and wildlife and it is important that we learn more about this ecosystem and how to support it.

    The walk is along a flat, paved 3m wide footpath with no road crossings anywhere during the walk, and is suitable for wheelchairs, prams, scooters etc. The walk will journey from Featherwood Park around each edge of the wetland, which part of the largest seasonal wetland in the Western Volcanic Plains. The walk should take between 60-90mins.

    Please wear suitable clothing for the weather, shoes, and bring a water bottle.

    This event is aimed at Seniors who are interested in the environment, photography, bird watching, and walking outdoors while learning about and viewing native plants and wildlife.

  • Come and join us for infill planting at our important grassy plains Seed Bank at Aintree Reserve. This Seed Bank will be utilised for seed collection and growing new tube stock for native grasses which will be used in future community and school planting days.

  • This is a private event for Bacchus Marsh Grammar Students in November. If you are part of the school community, the school will be communicating about this event as the day approaches.

  • This is a Kitchen Garden Network for teachers and early childhood educators in Melton, Bacchus Marsh & Brimbank areas. The Term 4 Meeting location is at St Anthony's Primary School, Melton South, on Wednesday October 30 at 4.15pm.

  • Come and join in our monthly Friends of Kororoit Grasslands action. This is generally at Aintree Reserve, but please contact us ahead of time for the correct location and time.
