Who is We Love Aintree &
Eat Grow Garden

We Love Aintree Ltd, was founded as a not-for-profit public company in 2019, by Jono Ingram. Starting in a community garden, sustainability, caring for the environment and community has always been central to what we’ve been about.

Post COVID, in 2022, we refined our mission to better reflect our roots and our desire to see local people empowered to love where they live, caring for people and places right across Melbourne’s west. We operate two social enterprises which help us carry out our vision — Eat Grow Garden, and We Love Aintree. Eat Grow Garden’s focus is on edible & native landscaping, while We Love Aintree’s focus is education & environmental action.

Our Founding Director

Jono Ingram is the Founding Director We Love Aintree and Eat Grow Garden. Jono is a passionate veggie gardener and has over 15 years in the community not-for-profit sector working with community gardens, community consultation and activation, community engagement with Churches, and as a Wellbeing & Kitchen Garden teacher in primary schools. When he's not in the garden, Jono might be running hills in Lerderderg training for an ultra trail marathon, surfing on the Bellarine Peninsula, or sitting around a fire pit with family and friends enjoying a nice home brewed beer.
